We finally moved into the new house on May 7th. We rented a cube van and had our close friends help us. All in all it only took about 3 hours of heavy lifting and we were done. Most of the small stuff we had been taking up there over time. Thanks to all the hard work our friends put in. The boys woke from their nap to an empty house and moved on over to the new house. Our first night was spent trying to figure it all out. The next morning Trev left to start his season tree planting, his return unknown. He is planting near Canal Flats, a 4 hour drive away and 1 hour time change. With a 3 days on and 1 day off shift he won't be back a lot. After working so hard for 8 weeks to get this house ready and then to only spend one night in it, is kind of sad. The boys had a hard adjustment the first week, they were definitely out of sorts. New house, no dad, at least Grandma was around to help. We couldn't have done any of this without her. Over the last 2 1/2 months she has spent almost 3 weeks here helping out. Thanks Grandma! The boys couldn't really identify what it was that was wrong or making them unhappy, but the whining, and the crying, and the tears whenever anyone came to the door was evidence enough that they were struggling with their new environment.
It is now a few weeks later and we are much better. The house is still in disarray. The guest room is full of boxes, as is our bedroom. The boys are all set up in their room and the rec room upstairs in the loft is great, worth every penny on those stairs. The best part about the new house for the boys beside the space is most definitely the puddles. Everyday we go through two sets of clothes and shoes. Why don't they just make hip waiters for kids. Rain boots and rain pants are no match for these boys. Out the back door is the forest and just down the gas line in the back is the "river" and the "waterfall", ie. small little stream with small drop into a culvert. Heaven! We are there once a day splashing through the water and checking it all out, while pushing their strollers or riding their bikes. Centennial Trail is now our main play zone. Again with more puddles and lots of space to run, bike and walk. Two weeks later we have still to have a day where their clothes don't get dirty and wet from puddles. Oh well it'll all dry up eventually in the summer, may as well go for it now. They are full out on their run bikes now. Absolutely loving it!
We've been through a lot in the last few weeks and months. I am trying to keep up my best, but there just isn't enough time in the world at the moment. Both of us are working, and I'm juggling daycare, solo parenting the munchkins and figuring out the house. We have lots to do and we'll get there. Trev just left from his second day off at home to return to camp. He now has spent 3 days at home now, with 2 coming up in 3 more days. Yeah! Some photos to satisfy.

A week after we moved in 8 poplars were cut down in front of the house across the street,
and the view completely changed. We may have a view of cutblocks, but thats what paid for this house |

| Happy with all their new space to run around but still glued to each other |

| Kitchen and greeting room? |

| Turns out there is a new log home being built down the street. Our problem of an excavated hole the previous owners dug was fixed with 4 dump loads. The boys are in heaven as a dump truck goes by every 10 minutes |
