After a few days of regrouping since Connie and John left, we took off to Vernon to visit my grandparents. Since it is too hard for them to travel we wanted to go back for a visit. I made a 11 minute long video tour of our house for Nanny and Papa to see. We weren't sure whether we should bring our bikes or skis, and in the end opted to not put my bike on the back of the car with salt and sand all over the snowy roads. Sovereign Lakes opened for xcountry skiing on Nov 10th, so we were excited to ski. On Saturday during the boys nap we headed up to winter for a ski and it was fabulous. A bit of a blizzard, and the track wasn't really set but it was great to slide again.
On Sunday we went to H20 in Kelowna (YMCA with awesome water park). The boys were so keen on the water and swimming when we went to Ainsworth with Connie and John that we thought we keep going, even if we had to drive to Kelowna. They loved it and I must say it was pretty great, even for little kids. We even bumped into friends who treated us to lunch after. On Sunday night my mom had dinner with the family. I made lasagna and although we missed Chris and the kids we had a nice visit. The boys had to be distracted a few times by the TV, which they are really getting into. The photos that follow are pretty funny.

That night we headed out to the Performing Arts centre to see some Banff Mountain Film Festival movies. It was so much easier and better than when the show comes to Nelson, great big theatre, London Bar, and we got moved to our own balcony as they overbooked. The highlight of the night was local skier, turned paraplegic, turned sit skier, turned Olympian, going for it in the backcountry on a sit ski, that was a nice movie to see amongst his friends and family.
Tuesday we spent the night in Kelowna with friends, and finally headed home on Wednesday night. Home is always so sweet.
