It was finally summer last weekend. Friday was the first day the boys hadn't worn rain pants and rubber boots since we moved into the new house a month ago. It was sunny and 25 out, bliss! We spent the whole time outside of course. I got them to go for a hike for the first time too, somehow convincing them to leave their bikes and strollers behind. We all took our backpacks stepped out the back door onto the trails.
Click here for one of our backdoor trails The boys found dandelions a plenty and that kept them excited and moving. We met a few dogs and there were no tears, finally maybe we are over that hurdle too.

The rain is returning during the week and we will be back to rain pants, rubber boots and puddles. Will it ever be nice weather again?
