Cookie Jar 2012

Grandma Connie and Grandpa John generously bought the boys cross country skis for Xmas. We opened them long before Christmas and tried them out a few times, although the blog posts were boring with no pictures so we had to wait until today. Today was our first real cross country ski with the boys. The boys didn't know what to expect with an adventure to a cabin at Nancy Greene Summit, so there was very little whining and a lot of excitement about the pink cabin. Sometimes the newest things are the most fun, because no one can complain. The trip was slow and tested Trev's patience every step or fall down of the way. The boys did pretty good, the trail was hard and the skins we put on the bottom of their skis were great. They fell backwards a lot going downhill but did all right altogether with their balance and coordination. We are so doing it again!

Evidence of how it really went as I pick up Cole, and Grayson is stalled having dropped his poles

Awesome decorations in Cookie Jar
After 15 minutes in, fire started, food being eaten, Trev noticed a picture of himself...ha, how the heck did that get there!

Cole crazy on mum-mums
