How Canadian is this? Cross country skiing into a frozen lake called Nancy Greene Lake, with hockey skates on your shoulder for a skate on the frozen lake recently cleared by ATV plows and flooded by augers. Thats how we spent yesterday with the boys. Due to their 5 am wake up, they fell asleep in the car on the way and weren't as keen on our crosscountry ski/skating plan at "Loon Lake"(the boy's name for it because there is a loon that lives there that they are scared of) as Trev and I. Trev let them sleep in the car while i went for a few loops on the rinks, then woke them up and joined me. They were pretty miserable after being woke up that we just decided to go for a ski ourselves and they could just sit and enjoy the view.
