Sadly our time ran out in Moab, we are going back for sure one day though. There were still a few rides I'd like to have ridden and we never even went into Canyonlands National Park. Our destination on this day was Bryce Canyon National Park, a 4.5 hour drive which would probably take us all day. Our first stop was a little state park called Goblin Valley State Park that had unique rock formations
Continuing our drive on Scenic Hwy 12, we passed through more ranching country, but the thing that amazes me the most about Utah is how prominent the sedimentary rock is all over the state. Millions of years of sediment deposited into historic lakes/oceans. Just behind the cows this was so prominent although not as colourful as other areas.
Capital Reef National Monument was the next park we hit up. We stopped at Hickman Bridge for a leg stretch to see a natural rock bridge, not really sure what the difference is between a rock bridge and an arch, but it was nice to get out and stretch our legs.

A little further on in the park was a detour on a 10 mile scenic drive. It was spectacular. The mountains here have every color of sediment in Utah all on display from valley bottom to mesa top.
| This place was also and early settlement where they farmed and had lovely orchards, amazing spot to be a settler |
