Day 14 Last day in Paradise

By Day 14 we are all a little tired, and a few of us may have drank a little too much wine to celebrate our most epic day yesterday.  Rachel and Brian headed out in the morning and left Trev and I with the kids, to clean, pack and play.  We did the regular, play with cars, go upstairs, and go outside to shovel.  By 11 am they called on the radio to say that conditions were not near as good as yesterday and that they were tired, and coming back after one run.  The night before had brought more snow, but also a lot of wind and the powder wasn't as nice.  All the bombs had fallen out of the trees so the skiing was variable, with hard bits where the bombs landed and windblown powder in between.

Trev and I decided to go for a snowshoe in the afternoon while the boys were sleeping.  It was hard work and we didn't last long.  We went across the ridge to look down into the Beaver Creek drainage., and checked out some lines for next time we come up. After about an hour or so, Trev declared he was tired and wanted to go back.  We had lots of duties still to do before we left in the morning.
