Somehow it was decided that us girls would have the first full day. Our target was to break trail through deep snow, 30 cm penetration or so, all the way to the notch on Copperstain Mountain so that we may gain the ridge. Excited to just get out and skiing, we spent 5 hours there and back with one small run, but it was great to lay down our first turns of the year on such a beautiful slope with such nice snow. It was still cold, but the sun came out to treat us to fabulous views of Sir Donald, Tupper and the Swiss Peaks. We were just so excited to be out skiing in the alpine.
